Who are Te Arotūruki?

Purpose

The main objective of Te Arotūruki is to enhance the relationship of scientists with Māori.

They aim to develop better research outcomes and to ensure that areas of concern to Māori surrounding controversial technologies (eg genetic engineering, nanobiotechnology) are recognised, discussed and addressed.

The main focus of our current mahi (work) has been the development of a process and toolkits for scientists aimed at improving cross-cultural dialog between scientists and Māori Communities.
